Privacy Policy
Effective date: 11 June 2026
HiQByte ("we", "us", "our") operates this website. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, on what legal basis, and the rights you have over it. It is written to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and comparable privacy laws in other jurisdictions where our visitors are located.
1. Who is responsible for your data
HiQByte, India, is the Data Fiduciary (under the DPDP Act) and Data Controller (under the GDPR) for personal data collected through this website. Contact: hiqbyte@gmail.com · +91 9625520902.
2. Personal data we collect
- Contact form submissions — name, email address, company name, phone number, project type and the message you write to us.
- Direct communication — information you share when you email or call us.
We collect only what you give us. We do not require an account, do not collect payment information through this website, and do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
3. Purpose and legal basis
- Responding to your enquiry and discussing your project — based on your consent, given when you voluntarily submit the form (DPDP Act s.6; GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Preparing proposals, scopes and engagement terms you request — steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Maintaining records of our communication — our legitimate interest in running the business (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. Ever.
4. Consent and withdrawal
Submitting the contact form is a voluntary, affirmative action that constitutes your consent to be contacted about your enquiry. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing hiqbyte@gmail.com — withdrawal is as easy as giving consent, and we will stop processing and delete your data unless we are legally required to retain it.
5. Form processing and data processors
Our contact form is processed by FormSubmit, a third-party form service acting as a data processor: your submission is transmitted through FormSubmit's servers and delivered to our email. Our email is hosted by Google (Gmail). These providers process data on their own infrastructure under their respective privacy terms.
6. International data transfers
We are based in India, and the processors above may store data on servers outside your country. Where the GDPR applies, transfers are protected by the processors' standard contractual clauses and safeguards, or take place with your explicit consent when you submit the form. Where the DPDP Act applies, we transfer personal data only to jurisdictions not restricted by the Government of India.
7. Cookies & analytics
This website sets no cookies of its own and currently runs no analytics or advertising trackers — which is why you see no cookie banner. If we add analytics in the future, this policy will be updated, and where required, your consent will be requested before any non-essential cookies are set.
8. Third-party services
- Google Fonts — our typefaces load from Google's servers, so your browser's request (including your IP address) is visible to Google when the page loads.
- FormSubmit and Gmail — as described in section 5.
9. Data retention and security
We keep enquiry emails and project correspondence only as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal or accounting obligations, after which they are deleted. We apply reasonable security safeguards to prevent unauthorised access, loss or misuse, and in the event of a personal data breach we will notify affected individuals and the relevant authorities as required by law (including the Data Protection Board of India and, where applicable, GDPR supervisory authorities).
10. Your rights — India (DPDP Act, 2023)
- Right to access a summary of your personal data and how it has been processed.
- Right to correction, completion and updating of your data.
- Right to erasure of data no longer needed for the stated purpose.
- Right to grievance redressal (section 13 below).
- Right to nominate another individual to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.
11. Your rights — EEA & UK (GDPR)
- Right of access to your personal data and a copy of it.
- Right to rectification of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten").
- Right to restriction of processing and right to object.
- Right to data portability.
- Right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing.
- Right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
12. Other jurisdictions
If your local law (for example, the California Consumer Privacy Act) grants you privacy rights beyond those above, we will honour any reasonable, verifiable request to exercise them. We treat "do not sell or share" as our default — we never sell or share personal data for advertising.
13. Grievance redressal
To exercise any right or raise a concern, write to our grievance contact at hiqbyte@gmail.com with the subject "Privacy Request". We acknowledge requests promptly and aim to resolve them within the timelines prescribed by applicable law. If you are in India and are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
14. Children's data
This website is intended for business audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children (under 18 in India, under 16 in the EEA/UK). If you believe a child has submitted data to us, contact us and we will delete it.
15. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted clearly.
